Picture Books

People have different motivations for reading and writing books.  Mine was always, always about the story.  Love of words?  A close second.

I see stories in everything:  books, pictures, music, dreams, moments, even scents.  This morning, I stumbled across a treasure trove of stories...in a series of fashion photographs.  I normally don't pay attention to fashion, but the rich and compelling story found in each frame, the lush and vivid colors, the hint of history and the mystic... it was all too fantastic to ignore. Enjoy.

  3. My favorite one is the blue men photo. They are so incongruous and make a serious picture funny.

Thanks for leaving that detailed comment on my last post. I really appreciate your insight, and you have made me give second thought to tea towels. I tried a lot of different styles trying to get to someplace more economically viable, and what I found out is that if you end up copying someone else that is successful, you just end up being second best, and that's if you're lucky. You do what they do not as well and not as genuinely. People that are truly passionate about cupcakes do well with cupcakes because they are truly passionate about cupcakes. You can always tell when someone is just being trite.

It is the eternal quandary: cater to trends or ignore them and hope the world comes around to your way of thinking. And I know that the world is not apt to change...

Again, thank you for your insightful comment! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
